Welcome!

Welcome to the Boghopper Express homepage! This summer, four lads, one 1989 Volkswagon Golf and a spare can of fuel depart Dublin for Ulaanbataar, the capital city of Mongolia - all in aid of the Christina Noble Children's Foundation and The Make a Wish Foundation! We aim to raise enough funds to build twenty traditional homes for Mongolian families and help those children less fortunate back in Ireland - and have the adventure of our lives while we're at it!

In the spirit of this infamous "banger rally", we have found the most inappropriate car to take. We're now blessed with a 'special' €250 VW Golf which will hopefully get us past Dun Laoghaire and on to the boat!. "Boggy" has successfully pulled off two breakdowns in it's maidan 300 miles. No doubt the broken windscreen, the hole in the exhaust, the leaking radiator and our combined total of no mechanical knowledge will make for some entertaining evenings in the Kazakhstani desert. But fear not, we've got a Haynes Manual and can drink Yak milk if we're desperate!!
