The Challenge

Imagine yourself in the middle of the gargantuan Kazakh desert, your car slowly being shredded by the dirt track your map says is a motorway, completely lost hundreds of miles from civilisation with no back up crew to rescue you- This is the Mongol Rally!

On 17^th July 2008, the team will depart from Dublin and travel a third of the way around the earth to Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia via a plethora of countries most people haven't heard of in a 1989 Volkswagen Golf with 159,000 miles already on the clock with the aim of raising a shed load of cash for charity!

The challenge for The Bog Hopper Express is to reach Mongolia in Boggy, without dying! Breakdowns, delays and unforeseen trouble are all part of the plan!

The Aim of The BogHopper express is simple – to raise as much cash as we can for charity! This can only be done through the generosity of companies and individuals; we’re a big believer in every penny counts!
