The rally organisers have their own chosen charities (which are listed at mongolrally.theadventurists.com). The Boghopper Express will also be fundraising for The Christina Noble Children’s Foundation and The Make a Wish Foundation:

The Christina Noble Children's Foundation - 'Give a Ger Fund'

The Christina Noble Children's Foundation is an International Partnership of people dedicated to serving children in need of emergency and long-term medical care, nutritional rehabilitation, educational opportunities, vocational training, job placement and the protection of children at risk of economic and sexual exploitation. The Foundation seeks to maximize the potential of each child. This is accomplished within the context of the family and the community whenever possible and always with love and respect for the dignity of each child as an individual.

The Give a Ger fund is an emergency fund established to providefamilies in danger of becoming homeless, or otherwise inadequately ordangerously accommodated, with a family home. A Ger, with basicfurniture, can be purchased in Mongolia for €1000. In 2003 the fundpurchased gers for 51 families in Ulaanbaatar and in 2004 the campaignwas extended to include the countryside, with a total of 53 familiesbeing assisted with ger housing. The gift of a ger does far more than simply remove children from squalid and unhealthy living conditions...

The Make a Wish Foundation

The Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK grants magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening illnesses. Since being established in the UK in 1986, they have granted over 4,700 wishes. Make-A-Wish has no cures to offer and all too often some of their endings are sad but, during desperate times when there seems to be no hope, Make-A-Wish steps in and provides positive and uplifting relief. Most of all, a wish granted brings a time of magic and joy for the special children and families they serve.
